My daughter's Minne Mouse theme birthday party

It took me 3 months to plans my daughter's 3rd birthday party. I loved every minute of it, looking up for ideas in pinterest, thinking of ways to add my twist to the short listed ideas, planning the "To do" list and last but not the least.. all the shopping.

The theme was Minnie mouse. The table with the cake and the goodies was the center of attention. I did not want to overdo the decorations. I wanted the party to be to be simple yet fun.

For the table cover, I got the pink plastic table cover in party city and stapled Minnie mouse streamers on the edge.

The main cake was a Vanilla pound cake with chocolate ganache. I covered the cake with pink fondant. I used copper, black, white and red colored marshmallow fondant to make the Minnie's face. I used a couple of vanilla and red velvet cupcakes with buttercream frosting to place on the side.

I wanted a mess free way to distribute cakes to the parents and the kids.. so I chose cupcakes. I made 2 dozen vanilla and red velvet cupcakes with buttercream frosting. I printed out the cupcake toppers and stuck them to craft paper for support ( i did not want them to bend ). I covered the toothpicks with red candy wrappers and glued them to the toppers.

More goodies for the kids.. I made chocolate covered Oreo and stuck store bought Minnie mouse icing decorations on top. Covered them with candy wrapper and tied them up with thin pink ribbons.. thanks to my sister in law.. she did all the wrapping :)

For the birthday banner I used black and white craft sheet for the circles. For the letters I used white and hot pink glittery craft sheet.
